Runswick Bay - further south along the coast the small village of Runswick, with a steep track down, is a picture postcard village, a smuggling village. Once subject to landslides it now has a seawall.

Goathland – On the North York moors, is a must if you are staying in the area. Most will remember this as ‘Aidensfield’ from the TV series “Heartbeat”. You will have visions of Heartbeat characters as you walk the village streets, you will recognise the pub setting and village shops. Well worth a visit.
